Ajax

Ajax is a charming town in the Greater Toronto Area with easy access to the Lakeshore East Line and nearby bus lines. Families will appreciate the proximity of schools and daycares, as well as the convenience of grocery stores and dining options within walking distance. The town is known for its new and well-maintained single detached homes and townhouses, perfect for those looking to settle in a quiet and family-friendly neighborhood. While green spaces may be a bit of a distance, Ajax offers a serene and peaceful atmosphere with low levels of traffic noise. With a variety of housing options and convenient amenities, Ajax is a great place to call home.

Home buyers who prefer a slower-paced environment will enjoy Ajax. Ajax is especially quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic. Parks aren't well-spread out, making it very hard to reach them. Despite that, there are over 200 public green spaces nearby for residents to relax in, including Pan Am Games Ajax Ballpark and Greenwood Conservation Area.

The homes in this town are relatively new, because about 40% of its buildings were built following the year 2000, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s. Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing about two thirds of dwellings in this part of Durham Region, and the remaining houses are mainly large apartment buildings. Homeowners occupy roughly 85% of the properties in Ajax and 15% are rented. This town offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.

It is a short trip to access primary schools and daycares from anywhere in Ajax. On the other hand, families may consider it difficult to reach high schools on foot. Concerning food, a supermarket is ordinarily accessible within a rather short trip from most houses for sale in Ajax. Likewise, Ajax is a fairly good place in which to go out to eat, and property owners benefit from about 30 cafes as well.

Travelling by car is convenient in Ajax. It is easy to park. In contrast, Ajax is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, there is the Ajax on the Lakeshore East. The town is connected by approximately 20 bus lines, and bus stops are generally very close by. Ajax is not particularly well-suited for those who travel by walking since running daily errands is occasionally challenging without a car. On the other hand, this town is moderately cycling-friendly.
