For those seeking a tranquil, family-friendly neighborhood with a variety of spacious homes, King presents an attractive choice in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Home buyers who prefer a relaxed atmosphere will enjoy King. King is especially quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Parks are sparse, which makes it occasionally challenging to reach them. Still, there are over 150 parks close by for residents to check out, including Happy Valley Tract and Thornton Bales Conservation Area (99 Steps).

The housing stock of King is composed primarily of single detached homes and row houses. About 40% of properties in this part of York Region were built following the year 2000, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1960s. This township offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. About 90% of the population of this township own their home and the rest are renters.

It is a rather short stroll to access primary schools and daycares from most homes for sale in this township. In contrast, high schools are not numerous and therefore tend to require a very long trip to get to. In terms of eating, accessing one of around 20 supermarkets without a vehicle is feasible for some, but not all, home buyers in King. Residents are served by over 50 restaurants and coffee shops as well.

Cars are an excellent medium of transportation in King. It is very easy to park. In contrast, King is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, homeowners benefit from the Bradford and King City with access to the Barrie. There are about 20 bus lines crossing the township. Getting around by foot is not very convenient for house buyers in this township since carrying out daily needs is difficult without a vehicle. Commuting by bicycle is also challenging in King because there are a fair number of slopes to challenge cyclists, and there are few bike lanes.
